I have always been hesitant to wear peplum. I have a friend that wears it regularly and I would say ‘that’s not my style’ which is my language for ‘I don’t like it’. However it looks good on her so I thought why not give it a try. If it doesn’t work then I know that at least I tried and I can avoid that style in the future.
Purple is my favourite colour so naturally I was drawn to the lilac skirt that I saw on the model online. Of course there was a sale and who can resist a sale!
When it arrived, the colour and style looked exactly as it did in the picture. Those of you that shop online know the feeling of ordering something that turns out to be a different colour, different fabric and worse, a smaller size fit than expected. If it’s my first time trying a new web site I tend to go for a size larger than I usually get. I don’t know about you but I really hate the process of sending something back. This way even if it’s a little looser, I can still wear it.
Without hesitation I put the skirt on. Yes, I was in love. I was immediately thinking I needed to make plans to go out to wear this skirt to show it off! This skirt fit perfectly and I loved the stretch in the fabric. The length is great as it gives the skirt a classy feel.
I am very proud of my first purchase of a peplum skirt and look forward to future purchases!
